MRI Tech PRN Position Available In Sumner, Tennessee

Performs magnetic resonance imaging in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

Reports to: Director Diagnostic Services and Imaging SupervisorReviews patient history and physician’s orders. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient’s understanding and cooperation.

Drag Edit DeleteMonitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.

Drag Edit DeleteSelects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters.

Drag Edit DeletePositions patient and performs imaging procedure(s). Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results.

Drag Edit DeleteTakes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure. Enters, transmits and reports scan results.

• Minimum Education

Certifications:

BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) – Required to be obtained within 90 days of employment, if not current upon hire.

Licenses:

Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (MR).Registry Eligible New Hire; Cross-training staff or Transfer staff who are registered ARRT technologists will be considered and must acquire valid MR registration within 12 months of hire or transfer date.
