ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Performs CT procedures at a technical level not requiring constantsupervision of technical detail. Obtains patient history, explainsstandard procedures and addresses patient concerns. Producescomputerized tomographic scanner radiographs of specific areas asrequired by the departmental procedures. Performs CT procedures ata technical level not requiring constant supervision of technicaldetail. Performs those duties directly involved with a variety oftechnical procedures applying ionizing radiation for the purpose ofdetecting pathology. Regulates the equipment used to expose thex-ray film, develops and documents PACS imaging. Operates equipmentsafely and maintains SimonMed standards while performing call typesof procedures. Establishes and maintains a good rapport andprofessional relationship with fellow employees, other departments,and facility staff. Familiar with standard concepts, practices andprocedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan andaccomplish goals. Works under general supervision. Duties asassigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Requiresregistration as a Certified Radiologic and Computerized TomographyTech by the State Requires registration as an RT and CTTechnologist by the A.R.R.T. SimonMed Imaging requires valid handson CPR certification

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position may requireduties including lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds, sitting forprolonged periods of time, with frequent standing and walking.
