Job Description:

MRI Technologist Rutland-VT-05701-United States Undersupervision of a radiologist and direction department leadership,competently performs imaging on a 1.5 T magnetic resonance imagingscanner. Responsible for scanning and preparing images for reviewper protocols in MRI. Must have the ability to recognizecross-sectional anatomy, perform MRI’s and inject contrast mediawhere applicable. Responsible for providing service excellence andcomplying with hospital policies and procedures. Uses the RIS/PACSand HIS for proper recording of patient exams and dissemination ofpatient results. Minimum Education

• High School Diploma orequivalent
• Completed education requirements to become Certifiedin MRI. Minimum Work Experience
• Recent, up to one year, hospitalrelated experience
• Digital Imaging and post processing PACSexperience Required Licenses/Certifications
• MRI certified by ARRT(ARMRIT or CAMRT)
• BLS Certification through American HeartAssociation.
• Must obtain 24 ECE credits, in a two-year period,for re-certification and licensure.
• 2 MRI Safety Credits annually
• or acquire within first year of employment. Required Skills,Knowledge, and Abilities
• Knowledge and ability to provide carebased on physical and psychosocial development and safety issuesrelated to patients of all age groups, including infant, child,adolescent, adult and geriatric.
• Strong communication skills toeffectively relay information both up and down the chain ofcommand.
• Ability to plan, organize, set goals and objectives forreview and evaluation.
• Knowledge of state and federal healthsafety laws and TJC Standards.
• Ability to recognizecross-sectional anatomy.
• Ability to establish access to veins forpurpose of giving IV contrast.
• Knowledge of basic medicalequipment (i.e. O2 Tank, pulse oximeter, EKG machines, etc.).
• Demonstrated moderate knowledge of basic computer skills. Pay Range= $31.71
