- Weekend Under the supervision of a radiologist andthe direction of department leadership, this position competentlyperforms imaging on all general radiographic equipment and isprovided the opportunity and encouragement to expand their skillset into other modalities such as Interventional Radiology,Mammography, CT, MRI, and Bone Density.
Responsible for appropriatescanning and imaging protocols in all qualified in all areas wherecompetent and certified. Must have the ability to recognize generalradiography anatomy. Responsible for providing service excellenceand complying with hospital policies and procedures. Uses theRIS/PACS and HIS for proper recording of patient exams anddissemination of patient results. Minimum Education
- High SchoolDiploma or equivalent
- Must have completed an approved andaccredited Radiology Technology program Minimum Work Experience
- Recent, up to one year, hospital related experience
- DigitalImaging and post processing PACS experience
- Portable and indepartment fluoroscopy procedures
- Operating Room proceduresRequired Licenses/Certifications
- Current state R.T. licenserequired.
- BLS Certification through American Heart Association.
- Must obtain 24 ECE credits, in a two-year period, forre-certification and licensure.
- Completion of endorsedpatient/visitor de-escalation and restraint program certification
- ARRT Certified
- Specialty ARRT Certifications highly desirable.
- Must obtain within 3 months of hire Required Skills, Knowledge,and Abilities
- Ability to maintain competencies in all certifiedmodalities.
- Willingness to accommodate scheduling flexibility tosupport staffing patterns that meet patient flow.
- Knowledge andability to provide care based on physical and psychosocialdevelopment and safety issues related to patients of all agegroups, including infant, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric.
