Job Description
Activity Coordinator for Elder Services Seminole Tribe of Florida 3100 North 63rd Avenue, Hollywood, FL 33024 We’re looking for an energetic Activity Coordinator that loves interacting with Seniors and those with disabilities! Typically the work schedule is Monday to Friday 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. This is based at the Hollywood Reservation 3100 N 63rd Ave, Hollywood, FL 33024. You’ll also travel on overnight trips in and out of Florida! Trips can range 3 to 10 days overnight and it’ll be planned in advance. Note that Elder Services does run the community hurricane shelter for the Seminole Tribe so it is required to be able to work the shelters overnight for the duration of the storm. Position Summary The incumbent in this position is responsible for coordinating and administering a comprehensive activity program to meet the needs, interests, and capabilities of the Seminole Tribe of Florida elderly population. Plans, coordinates and implements daily social, cultural, educational, or recreational activities/programs or services oriented to entertain the Seminole elderly population.
Qualifications / Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent GED is required. Minimum of one (1) year of experience coordinating programs or working with elderly population is preferred. Possession of a valid Florida Commercial Driver’s License (CDL); Class B with a Passenger Endorsement, or ability to secure one during the first year of employment, and subsequently maintain it is required. Annual Physical Exam required. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Ability to travel and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
