The Cypress Village Jacksonville is recruiting for the Director of Community Life Services. In this role you will be responsible for the planning, coordinating and directing of a wide and varied scope of activities and programming which meet the spiritual, emotional, intellectual, vocational, social, physical, health services, and environmental needs of the residents. Here are a few of the responsibilities of the position: Design and implement a diverse monthly calendar of events, including recreational, wellness, creative arts, lifelong learning, and intergenerational programming. Coordinate with clinical, dining, and wellness staff to ensure activities are inclusive and meet residents’ individual abilities and interests. Ensure programming reflects residents’ feedback, preferences, and needs across all care levels. Build partnerships with local organizations, performers, and volunteers to enhance resident experience. Create annual plan, goals, budgets, pricing and performance standards; maintain appropriate records pertaining to the department budget; monitor and control cost expenditures, providing justifications/explanations for variances as appropriate. Submit all appropriate billings for services provided by the department. Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have: College degree in recreational therapy and/or Activity Director Certification preferred Two years of appropriate professional experience in geriatrics, recreation, or social administration preferred. Two years of experience in leadership preferred.

Preferred but not required:

A Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist or Activities Professional by a recognized accrediting body or two years of full‑time experience (within the past 5 years) in a social/recreational program or completion of a State-approved Activity Professionals training course.
