Responsibilities of the Activities Director (CNA) Plan, Develop, Organize, Implement, Evaluate and direct the activity programs of this facility Review department policies and procedures, at least manually, and participate in making recommended changes Participate in community planning related to the interests of the facility and the services and needs of the resident and family Participate in discharge planning, development and implementation of activity care plans and resident assessments Interview resident/families as necessary and in private setting Assist in arranging transportation to other facilities when necessary Assume the authority, responsibility, and accountability of directing the activity department Maintain a productive working relationship with the medical profession and other health related facilities and organizations Coordinate activities with other departments as necessary Make written and oral reports/recommendations to the Administrator concerning the operation of the activity department Be able to assist and coordinate family visits Requirements for the Activities Director / Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Valid CNA license Must be a qualified Theraputic Activities Specialist or an Activities Professional who is licensed by the state of Florida andis eligible for certification as an Activities Specialist or as an actitivies professional; or must have, a minimum, one (1) years expereince in a social or activities program within the last five (5) years, one (1) of which was a full-time in a patient activities program in a health care setting; or must be a qualified occupational therapist (OTR) or occupational therapy assistant (COTA); or must have completed a training course approved by this state. Experience of the Activities Director / Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) At least one (1) year experience as an Activities Aide preferred #INDCNA
