06/16/2025 Job Summary The Coordinator of Student Activities, Clubs, and Organizations promotes student involvement by being the primary liaison between campus clubs, student organizations, and the Office of Student Leadership and Development. This position supports club development, encourages inter-organizational collaboration, and ensures students have meaningful opportunities to engage, lead, and contribute to campus life. Additionally, the Coordinator oversees the planning, implementation, and evaluation of all campus events-including college-wide programs-while managing event budgets and ensuring alignment with institutional goals and policies. Responsible for demonstrating LSSC’s core values of Caring, Communicating, Collaborating, and Celebrating when interacting with students, employees, visitors, and community members. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
SUPPORT & COMMUNICATION
Serve as the main contact for all recognized student organizations.
Maintain regular communication with club officers and faculty/staff advisors.
Facilitate meetings or roundtables for student leaders to collaborate and share updates.
ENGAGEMENT & OUTREACH
Promote student organization events across campus platforms.
Develop campaigns to boost awareness and student involvement.
Coordinate club fairs and outreach events each term.
LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
Plan and deliver officer training and leadership workshops.
Foster collaboration and community through networking and joint events.
ADMINISTRATIVE OVERSIGHT
Manage registration, renewal, and compliance for student organizations.
Maintain records of active clubs, membership, events, and service hours.
Ensure adherence to college policies and procedures.
Oversee budgets for SGA clubs and Student Life funds, including financial planning and event support.
EVENT SUPPORT
Provide logistical and promotional support for club-hosted events.
Encourage co-sponsored events and inter-club collaboration.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and organizations.
Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members.
Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, MS Office, and other computer applications for student information management (Canvas, Banner, Degree Works, etc.).
Ability to work independently, multitask, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with Learning Management Systems (e.g., Blackboard, Canvas) preferred.
Minimum Qualifications & Education
Required:
Associate’s degree
Evidence of organizational skills and attention to detail
Experience in student leadership, club involvement, or event coordination
Evidence of creative problem-solving and initiative in encouraging student participation
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and administrative platforms (e.g., Banner, Target X, The Nest)
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree
