Enrichment/Activities Coordinator Responsible to:
Principal Times:
7:30 am – 4:15 pm General Overview Citi Christian Academy is a Christian Private School located in the urban core of Miami in the Allapattah neighborhood. CitiChurch exists to change Allapattah by providing direct educational & spiritual opportunities, strengthening families, and linking residents together in a supportive neighborhood. Citi Christian Academy is an extension of accomplishing this mission. Position Overview Under the direction of Administration, the Enrichment/Activities Coordinator will plan, implement, manage, and oversee the day-to-day operations of the school enrichment program and school-wide activities for students and families. The Coordinator will coordinate, train, and evaluate the performance of the enrichment program team. To implement school-wide activities that meet students’ educational and social needs within the school community and to create an environment that nurtures students through loving relationships, challenges them with educational activities, develops their leadership skills, encourages spiritual growth, and helps them transition into successful young adults.

The following items are intended to describe the role and instructional responsibilities and should not be interpreted as a comprehensive list. The role of the Enrichment/Activities Coordinator is broad, varied, and responsible for the overall needs of the students in the program.
Enrichment Responsibilities:
Oversee, direct and lead the day to day operations of the Citi Christian Academy enrichment program. The enrichment program provides a variety of activities that support the academic curriculum of the school such as: art, business, music, dance, drama, physical education and others as are available. Manage, Lead, Supervise and Train the team of instructors and create/ensure a team based leadership approach Follow and maintain enrichment program goals and objectives as assigned by the Board Oversee and/or Create lesson plans for all enrichment activities Teach some Enrichment classes, such as SEL, Artrepreneurship, Music, Theater, Martial Arts, and/or Academic Enrichment Coordinate staff schedules Have a passion for the details that create a fun and organized program Manage overall discipline and implementation of behavioral management plans within the enrichment program Develop and maintain open and ongoing relationships and communication with families of children Carry out the vision of Citi Christian Academy Activities Responsibilities Provide for the planning, scheduling, coordinating, supervising and implementation of all school wide events that carry out the school vision, promote school spirit and ignite excitement among students, staff and families Activities may include, but are not limited to: rallies, assemblies, award ceremonies, parent events, spirit weeks, family engagement events, fund raisers, 8th grade promotion activities, etc. Assist in arranging for equipment, facilities, and agendas for such activities. Provide for publicity of school activities. Establish and maintain the school’s fundraising and activity calendar that is articulated with the school and master calendar. Participate in regularly scheduled meetings with Principal and or designated administrator concerning student activities. Plan, direct and review the activities and operations of student activities, student government and student organizations at the school site Participate in planning and coordinating educational, recreational, social and cultural activities; coordinate program activities with other school organizations; Prepare a variety of reports including program activity reports and financial reports for school events. Serve as an advisor to the student government organization; promote student participation in student government. Operate a computer and other standard office equipment as assigned Assist Administration with commencement activities; coordinate related committees and activities, such as caps and gowns. Serve during various posts throughout the day (arrival, lunches, and dismissal). Performs other duties as assigned by principal and or other designated administrator, such as classroom coverage when a teacher is absent.
Demonstrated Knowledge and Abilities:
Planning, organization and direction of student activities and programs. Organization, function and activities of the school. Principles and practices of student government and related procedures. Current practices in the organization and facilitation of student development, activities and student representation in schools. Budget preparation and control. Oral and written communication skills. Principles and practices of administration, supervision and training. Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy. Operation of a computer and assigned software.
Ability To:
Advise and instruct students. This position acts as the “in-house” substitute for a portion of the day and covers various posts (lunch, arrival, and dismissal supervision). Plan, organize and administer student government, activities and related programs. Coordinate assigned activities with other departments and outside agencies. Provide responsible and complex administrative support to the Principal. Train and evaluate the performance of assigned staff. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Interpret, apply and explain rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others. Operate a computer and assigned office equipment. Analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action. Meet schedules and timelines. Work independently with little direction. Plan and organize work. Communicate effectively with diverse constituencies. Prepare comprehensive narrative and statistical reports. Direct the maintenance of a variety of reports related to assigned activities. Maintain consistent, punctual and regular attendance.

Other Details:
BA or higher with 3 years non-profit/managerial/administrative – type experience able to pass a level 2 Background Screening have personal and reliable transportation have personal and reliable smart phone bi-lingual a plus, but not required
