This is a full-time position. MUST be able to work weekdays, from 8:30 am until 4:30 pm and alternating weekends and holidays. MUST have experience in activities working with elderly, Dementia and Alzheimer’s Residents in assisted living or nursing home setting.

Job Description Family Extended Care of Winter Haven is seeking a caring, responsible, and qualified Activity Coordinator to join our assisted living facility in Winter Haven. Family Extended Care of Winter Haven is a not-for-profit organization delivering compassionate care to our residents. As an Activity Coordinator you will be responsible for developing, planning and implementing activity programs for the residents, as well as engaging the residents in activities. Similar experience working with elderly, Dementia and Alzheimer’s residents required. It is essential to have time management skills, an outgoing attitude, to be flexible, and too want to work as part of a team. Responsibilities Include Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the activity programs. Participate in community planning to serve the needs and interest of the residents. Responsible for administrative tasks (i.e., Activity Calendar, monthly newsletter, etc. Arrange and provide transportation for outings; Assist residents on outings. Assist residents with purchases during outings Represent FEC of Winter Haven in a professional, customer service oriented manner. Job Requirements Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a team. Previous experience in long term care or senior care preferred, but will train qualified applicants who possess the above mentioned skills. Must be punctual and have a good attendance history. Position Available Full Time Position Salary is based upon experience Shift Available 8:30 am – 4:30 pm; alternating weekends
