Full Job Description Job Summary:
The responsibility of the Director of Resident Lifestyles is to plan, organize and implement programs and events that encompass the dimensions of wellness for the independent residents in the community. This includes managing transportation and compliance for CDL drivers per the fleet management program and Department of Transportation Regulations, overseeing the resident Wellness initiatives of the community, and completing and/or overseeing the completion of the monthly newsletter, “The Shavings.”
Essential Functions:
Leads and/or oversees individual and group activities on a daily basis, in the community and off-campus trips. Respond to and document residents’ concerns and needs. Distribute resident surveys and interviews to determine past and present interests and talents, as well as satisfaction with the community’s current programs and activities. Schedule and communicate event set up, decorating, and clean up with other departments for scheduled programs, parties and other events. Manage community message boards with updated information and special events. Has a flexible schedule to help supervise special evening or weekend events on the monthly calendar. Assist residents with reservations and confirm main calendar. Develop relationships with residents to encourage their participation in activities that enhance healthy social interaction. Create and maintain relationships with external vendors for events. Make necessary calls to confirm outings, appointments and reservations. Develop and maintain a resident event volunteer program. Education, Licenses/Certifications, Knowledge & Experience High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of three (3) year previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience.
