  • We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Activities Director to oversee and coordinate a variety of recreational and educational programs for our [community, senior center, school, etc.

]. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing engaging activities that enhance the quality of life for our participants. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, creativity, and a strong ability to connect with diverse populations.

  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Development:
  • Design and implement a comprehensive schedule of activities, including arts and crafts, fitness classes, social events, and educational workshops. Evaluate and adapt programs based on participant feedback and emerging interests. 2.
  • Leadership & Supervision:
  • Supervise and train activity staff and volunteers, ensuring that they understand their roles and the objectives of each program. Foster a team-oriented environment that encourages collaboration and innovation. 3.
  • Community Engagement:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with participants, families, and community partners. Promote programs through outreach efforts such as social media, newsletters, and community events. 4.
  • Budget Management:
  • Develop and manage the activities budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources. Identify and pursue funding opportunities and grants to support program initiatives. 5.
  • Event Coordination:
  • Organize and execute special events, ensuring that each gathering aligns with participant interests and community values. Collaborate with other departments or external organizations to host joint events. 6.
  • Evaluation & Reporting:
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of programs through participant feedback, attendance records, and other metrics. Prepare regular reports for management regarding program success, improvements, and community impact. 7.
  • Compliance & Safety:
  • Ensure that all activities comply with safety regulations and organizational policies. Develop and implement emergency procedures to address potential risks during activities.
  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Management, Education, Social Work, or a related field (preferred).

Minimum [2 years] of experience in program development, activities coordination, or a related area. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse groups. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and basic social media platforms. First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
