Our most recent productions include The Wash by Kelundra Smith, and Third Act Dating by Gillian Royes and we regularly perform at the Academy Theatre in Hapeville – an intimate, 100-seat venue committed to showcasing diverse and thought-provoking work. Position Overview We are seeking a freelance Marketing Specialist to support project-based marketing initiatives, particularly for two upcoming events: A youth theatre camp in June A mainstage production in August This role is paid hourly and ideal for a marketer with experience in live events or performing arts promotion. Responsibilities Develop and execute digital marketing strategies to drive ticket sales and awareness Manage email campaigns, organic and paid social media, and local press outreach Create or coordinate promotional content across channels, including coordination of print collateral Distribute press releases and pitch stories to arts media and community outlets Track and report success metrics, including attributed ticket sales and media mentions Qualifications Demonstrated success promoting arts, events, or cultural organizations Proficiency in digital channels: email marketing, Facebook/Instagram ads, and social content Experience writing for and pitching to local press or arts publications Strong project management and communication skills Portfolio or examples of past campaigns (preferred) How to Apply We are looking for: Your hourly rate and estimated hours for this project Any recommendations for budget (paid ads, printing, etc.) A portfolio or work samples showcasing relevant marketing projects Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
