Activities Coordinator Brown House Properties Farmingdale, ME 04344 Captain Lewis Residence / Activities Coordinator / Farmingdale, Maine Captain Lewis Residence Assisted Living Facility, a division of Brown House Properties, is seeking a full-time Activities Coordinator to join the team. Captain Lewis Residence is a 34-bed residential care facility for those who are aging. The facility has a beautiful waterfront view of the Kennebec River in Farmingdale, Maine. This family-owned community is a home-like environment in a sea captain’s home with a historic bed & breakfast feel, and also a new wing with 21 century updates. Staff provide person-centered high-quality care in this secure facility. As the Activities Coordinator you will be making a positive difference in the lives of the residents by coordinating the day-to-day activities with a holistic approach. Activities will focus on person-centered individual interest as well as group activities. Activities will be planned with the residents’ physical, emotional, and spiritual needs in mind. Activities Coordinator:

At least one-year previous experience conducting and facilitating activities in a residential care/assisted living environment Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with high level of enthusiasm Dedication to upholding high standards of resident care Compassionate and empathetic nature with a genuine interest in serving the elderly Ability to work effectively in a team environment Ability to obtain Certified Residential Medication Aide (CRMA) and Personal Support Specialist (PSS) certification within 120 days of hire Bachelor’s Degree in Recreational Therapy a plus Benefits of the

  • M-F 8:00

Activities Coordinator:

Develop a monthly activities calendar designed specifically with residents’ interests in mind Plan, organize and facilitate activities programs for all residents whether one-to-one or a group Provide assistance to residents to explore new hobbies and to reconnect with activities of interest Encourage resident participation Use creativity to maintain resident connections, interests and external community involvement Flexibility with work schedule, as some events you plan might occur in the evening or on a weekend KMA Human Resources Consulting has been engaged to manage this search.
