- Adult Day Habilitation Program PARR Enterprises LLC 12 Stults Road, Dayton, NJ 08810 Dawn to Dusk Wellbeing Center, is a new and well established DDD provider with a mission to serve adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities at their home, out in the community and at our Day Program.

If you speak a different language that is a plus. We are looking for an Activities/Program Director with prior Adult Medical Day Care and/or DDD Day Habilitation Program experience. Experience in working with Alzheimer’s/Dementia and Developmentally Disabled (DDD) individuals is a definite plus.
JOB SUMMARY
The Activities Director will be responsible for the direction, provision, and quality of the activities service. The Activities Director will be expected to lead a team of activity aides and other support staff and ensure that appropriate activities are provided to our participants with Developmental Disabilities, including community based activities.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
The activities director shall: Have a baccalaureate degree from a college or university approved by a State department of education with a major in recreation, creative arts therapy, music therapy, therapeutic recreation, art, art education, psychology, sociology, occupational therapy, or other health and/or human services related degree such as gerontology or early education; or Have a high school diploma and at least three years of full-time, or full-time equivalent, experience in activities in a licensed health care facility and have successfully completed an activities education program approved by the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services after a review of the specific curriculum, consisting of 90 hours of training and incorporating the following elements; or Have served as director of activities in an Adult Medical Day Care, Assisted Living or Nursing Home or DDD Day Habilitation program.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
Participating in developing and implementing written objectives, policies, a procedure manual, and an organizational plan; Participating in the facility’s quality improvement program; Ensuring that services are provided and are coordinated with other services to provide a continuum of care for the participant; Developed a daily program of community based activities for the Developmentally Disabled clients; Participating in staff education activities and providing consultation to facility personnel; Developing and posting a current monthly activities schedule where it can be read by participants, staff, and visitors, and maintaining a record of such schedules for one year; Participate in all participant conferences; Participate in professional organizations and seminars; Document assessments, treatment plans, evaluations and clinical notes Please send a resume or an email if you are interested in coming for a tour and interview.
