Position :

Assistant Director of Therapeutic RecreationJob Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to oversee the staff with the scheduled daily recreational programs for residents in a skilled nursing facility. This role requires creativity, leadership, strong organizational skills, and computer knowledge. The proper candidate should have a strong work ethic, and be able to promote physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well being to our residents.

Education/ Experience/ Requirements :

Bachelors Degree in Recreation Therapy preferred, or equivalent related work experience. Experience working with seniors, or children with disabilities is highly desirable. Familiarity working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is preferred. Strong communication skills, and interpersonal skills to engage with residents, families, and staff. Excellent crisis management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Knowledge of Care Planning, and MDS completion is a plus.
