Brookside Children’s Center Supervisor Full time position, Occasional weekend coverage In-patient Skilled Nursing Facility
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
Bachelors Degree required, and or equivalent combination of education and related experience. Specialized training, or education with pediatric, and special needs residents a plus. Experience in medical chart documentation, including assessments, care planning, MDS and progress notes. Computer skills required. Willing to train the correct candidate. Must have an energetic, uplifting personality, with the ability to transport residents in wheelchairs regularly.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
Provides recreational therapeutic assessment of patients admitted to the unit they are assigned to.
Assesses residents leisure, social and recreational abilities, deficiencies, interests, barriers, life experiences, needs and potential. Plans and provides individual/ group treatment services to improve social, emotional, cognitive and physical functional behaviors. Plans and provides leisure educational activities. Assists the residents in acquiring the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed for independent leisure and social activities; adjusting to their new surroundings. Documents all events that occur during the regimen. Maintains all materials necessary for programs, and returns them to their designated location. Performs related duties as required. All responsibilities noted are considered essential functions of the job under the Americans with Disabilities act. Ability to maintain an even temperament in stressful situations. Supervision duties for Childrens Center dedicated staff.
Salary $40,000 – $46,000
