Non-Exempt Job Description:

This role will assist in conducting recreation activities at Hazel Parker Playground and will also assist with Therapeutic Recreation sports, programs and activities, including Special Olympics Competitions.

Examples of Duties:

Monitors, maintains, and secures center facilities, supplies, and equipment. Sets up necessary accompaniments for events, programs, etc. conducted in the center, including arranging chairs, tables, and preparing supplies. Welcomes visitors and answers incoming telephone calls. Notifies patrons of activity schedules and registration requirements. Assists with online registration. Obtains and maintains attendance records of participants. Leads programs and activities for kids at Hazel Parker Playground. Directs summer camp operations at Hazel Parker Playground. Attends Special Olympics practices and games. Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

Three months of related experience High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or active pursuit of a high school diploma; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Ability to obtain a driver’s license, CPR certification, and First Aid Certification with 6 months of employment
Preferred Qualifications:
