RN•GeroPsych at Starr Regional Medical Center summary: The RN for the GeroPsych Department at Starr Regional MedicalCenter provides comprehensive patient care by assessing conditions,developing individualized care plans, and administering medicaltreatments. This role involves collaboration with interdisciplinaryteams to ensure effective patient support and education whilefostering the emotional and physical well-being of patients.

Candidates must possess an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree inNursing and hold a current RN License in Tennessee.

Starr Regional Medical Center is currently seeking talent to fillthe position of RN for our GeroPsych Department. This job ispermanent, full time.

Establishes a plan of care which is appropriate to problemsidentified and involves the patient according to his or hercapabilities and desires. Performs plan of care intervention, including medicationadministration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as wellas other medical care treatment. Documents patient care given. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition asappropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family. Assists patients with performing activities of daily living,including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, andambulation. Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patientcare, including patient transfer, discharge, referral andspiritual/psychosocial support needs. Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and providespatient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition,and circumstances. Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being ofthe patient.
