Candidates must possess strong obstetric nursing skills and statelicensure as a Registered Nurse. Description Andalusia Health is currently seeking an experienced Labor andDelivery / Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (L&D/LDRP)Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care to mothers andnewborns during the labor and delivery and recovery, and postpartumprocess. This role requires a strong understanding of obstetricnursing, critical care, and emergency medicine, as well as theability to work effectively in high-pressure situations. Theexperienced

Registered Nurse will collaborate withphysicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe andpositive birth experiences.

In this role you will:

Monitor the health status of mothers and newborns throughoutthe labor process Administer medications and perform necessary medical proceduressuch as phlebotomizing and IV placement Assist with labor management, including providing education andemotional support to patients Conduct assessments of maternal-fetal well-being usingappropriate laboratory tests and monitoring equipment Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop andimplement individualized care plans Respond to emergencies with critical care skills, ensuringprompt intervention when necessary Educate patients on postpartum care, breastfeeding, and newborncare practices Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities incompliance with ICD-10 coding standards The above information inthis description has been designed to indicate the general natureand level of work performed by employees in this position.
