Description Vaughan Regional Medical Center is currently seekingan experienced Labor and Delivery / Labor, Delivery, Recovery, andPostpartum (L&D/LDRP) Registered Nurse to join our healthcareteam. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care to mothersand newborns during the labor and delivery and recovery, andpostpartum process. This role requires a strong understanding ofobstetric nursing, critical care, and emergency medicine, as wellas the ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations. Theexperienced

Registered Nurse will collaborate withphysicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe andpositive birth experiences.
In this role you will:
Monitor thehealth status of mothers and newborns throughout the labor process.
Administer medications and perform necessary medical proceduressuch as phlebotomizing and IV placement. Assist with labormanagement, including providing education and emotional support topatients. Conduct assessments of maternal-fetal well-being usingappropriate laboratory tests and monitoring equipment. Collaboratewith interdisciplinary teams to develop and implementindividualized care plans. Respond to emergencies with criticalcare skills, ensuring prompt intervention when necessary. Educatepatients on postpartum care, breastfeeding, and newborn carepractices. Maintain accurate documentation of patient careactivities in compliance with ICD-10 coding standards. Qualifications Qualifications Education:
Graduation from anaccredited Bachelors of Science in Nursing, Associate Degree inNursing or Nursing Diploma program.
Licenses/Certification:
Currentstate licensure as Registered Nurse. BCLS certification. ACLSpreferred.
Experience:
Prior experience in
L&D/LDRP
Highlypreferred Minimum six months experience in an acute care settingpreferred.
