Provides direct patient care to patients using thenursing process within applicable scope and standards of practice.
Also provides nursing leadership for a specific area or unit.
Experienced RN with good communication and critical thinking skills(analytical ability to resolve problems) who will be responsiblefor coordination of patient flow and liaison for communicationamong all care providers internally and externally.
Reports to:
Director CCU and Emergency Services Performs plan of care intervention, including medicationadministration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as wellas other medical care treatment. Drag Edit Delete Documents patient care given. Drag Edit Delete Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriateto care team, physician, patient and family. Drag Edit Delete Assists patients with performing activities of daily living,including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition and ambulation.
Drag Edit Delete Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patientcare, including patient transfer, discharge, referral andspiritual/psychosocial support needs. Drag Edit Delete Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and providespatient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition andcircumstances. Drag Edit Delete Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being ofthe patient. Drag Edit Delete Work as RN Charge as needed. Responsibility in supervising nursingand support staff during assigned shift. Determines staffing leveland assignments based on staff availability, staff abilities,census, patient acuity and work/patient flow. Qualifications:
Minimum Education Associate Degree, Bachelor Degree or RN Diploma required. Drag EditDelete Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and theability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in astressful environment and take appropriate action.

Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire or must be obtainedwithin 90 days of employment, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support(ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 12months of employment Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) required within 12 months ofemployment TNCC and ENPC certifications preferred
