The Surgical Service Line Nurse Director will report to the CNO and will be supported by an associate director and experienced charge nurses. The role involves leading a team of over 50 FTEs in a Level III Trauma Center. The director will ensure that nursing care is efficient and thorough, keeping staff updated with best practices and adhering to hospital guidelines. The position involves close collaboration with the CNO to maintain operational and clinical efficiency according to the hospital’s standards and values. There are also opportunities to advance staff education and initiate quality improvements.
