Travel A top-tier hospital in Birmingham, Alabama is seeking an experienced Travel CVOR Registered Nurse to join their cardiovascular surgical team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment while exploring a vibrant city known for its southern charm and strong medical community.

Birmingham, AL Position:

Travel Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)

RN Contract Length:

13 weeks with potential to extend

Shift:

Days, 4x10s or 5x8s, with on-call rotation

Start Date:

ASAP Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care during cardiovascular surgeries including open-heart and thoracic procedures Collaborate with surgeons, perfusionists, and surgical techs to ensure high-quality patient outcomes Maintain and operate specialized CVOR equipment Assist with pre-op prep and post-op patient handoff Follow sterile techniques and hospital protocols to ensure patient safety

Requirements:

Active RN license in Alabama or compact state Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR nursing experience BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required) Proficiency in scrubbing and circulating preferred Strong critical thinking and communication skills EMR experience preferred (Epic or Cerner)
