Salary:

$48 / Hour Birmingham AL RN-Step Down/PCU 1:3-1:4 Ratio 12 hr night shifts 36 hours per week 13 week contracts $48.00 per hour local rate or $2125.00 weekly for travel package

  • $720.00 taxable wages per 36 hrs
  • $880.00 housing allowances
  • $525.

00 meals allowances The Progressive Care Unit RN, as a professionalpractitioner, assumes the responsibility and accountability for deliveringpatient care to telemetry/progressive care patients. The Progressive Care UnitRN demonstrates the ability to make clinical judgments in an effective andefficient manner with supervision. This individual employs critical thinkingand performance ability in the coordinator of patient care, consistentlyperforms according to nursing standards, and is accountable in managing patientcare and assisting others in the management of patient care. The Progressive Care Unit RN is sometimesalso called a step-down nurse, cardiac stepdown, neuro stepdown, surgicalstepdown and in some medical centers, the PCU is also known as a transition orintermedia unit.

Minimum Requirements:
