Candidates for this faculty position with expertise in adult health nursing and nurse leadership in clinical settings are encouraged to apply. A doctorate in nursing or a related field is required. Rank, tenure, and salary are competitive and commensurate with professional background and experience. Candidates must hold an unencumbered registered nurse license in the state of Alabama or be eligible for licensure as a registered nurse in Alabama. Faculty may elect different degrees of emphasis on the teaching, service and scholarship components of the faculty role. This is not a remote position. The UAB School of Nursing’s legacy of leadership is focused on the integration of research, education, and clinical practice and evidenced in more than 22,000 alumni serving as expert clinicians, executive nurse leaders, deans and directors of nursing programs, nurse scientists, advanced practice registered nurses, and other professional leaders.
