Job Summary:
Provides professional nursing care for office patients following established standards and procedures.
Qualifications:
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Possesses a current Alabama State Registered Nurses License. Current CPR certification. ACLS certification preferred.
Experience:
Two (2) years of professional nursing preferably in an electrophysiology setting.
Additional Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice to give and evaluate patient care. Skill in identifying problems and recommending solutions. Skill in writing and maintaining records and reports. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, families, physicians, supervisors and staff. Skill in pacemaker and ICD interrogations, testing and programming: and knowledge of EP procedures. Skill in decision making related to the programming of implanted devices. Skill in teaching patients about implanted devices and EP procedures. Ability to communicate clearly. Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions in order to maintain a safe working environment. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Knowledge of organization’s policies and procedures. Upholds effective work habits including, but not limited to, regular attendance, teamwork, initiative, dependability, and promptness.
