Overview:

The following statements reflect the general duties considered necessary to describe the principal functions of the job as identified and shall not be considered as a detailed description of all the work requirements, which may be inherent in the position. Evaluates, plans, implements and documents nursing care for the psychiatric patient population. Assists physician during psychiatric assessments and mental status examinations. May conduct individual and group psychotherapy sessions. Requires an associate’s degree and is certified as a registered nurse. Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within behavioral health. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Qualifications:

Minimum of Associate’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing Alabama Board of Nursing License BLS Certification CPI®
