The hospice admissions nurse services community patients and their families to provide quality hospice care within regulatory and accreditation standards and rules, documents accurately and promptly according to departmental policy, teaches and counsels patients and families regarding hospice services and palliative care concept and philosophy, and coordinates with physicians, health care facilities, and the community to assure there is understanding of and open communication regarding the services offered by Baptist Hospice. Qualifications Valid AL RN license required. Certification in hospice and palliative nursing preferred. One (1) year of RN hospice preferred. Must possess a valid drivers license in the State of Alabama and an acceptable driving record. Compliance with regulatory agencies and promotion of Baptist Health mission, vision and values. Strong written and oral communication skills, proficient computer skills, proven track record of successful performance, and demonstrated effective utilization of nursing process. Obtaining, managing, and using information to improve patient and family outcomes. performance in patient care.
