The RN – Surgical Services shall direct preoperative and intraoperative nursing care to patients under the supervision of the designated Clinical Leader. The RN will participate in quality improvement, in service, customer service and a clear understanding of the principles of aseptic technique. This individual will provide patient care and anticipate surgical needs while communicating with the Clinical Leader. Additionally, the RN will cross train to other areas within the Surgical Services service line. This position may have additional duties assigned as needed. Qualifications Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor’s degree preferred. Previous Operating Room experience preferred. Membership in Association of Operating Room Nurses (AORN) preferred.
License / Certification required:
Active RN license required, BLS required, ACLS required, additional certifications may be required based upon area assigned. Knowledge of proper body mechanics. Ability to communicate properly, verbal and written. Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, policies, journals and collected patient data.
