This role is essential in providing high-quality patient care through the administration of infusions and other nursing services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various nursing specialties and demonstrate excellent patient assessment skills. As a Registered Nurse – Infusion, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the health and well-being of our patients. Duties Administer intravenous (IV) medications and infusions to patients as prescribed by physicians. Conduct thorough patient assessments to monitor vital signs, symptoms, and overall health status. Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients. Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans, medication administration, and self-care techniques. Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities, including infusion details and patient responses. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control measures during infusion procedures. Provide support for patients with developmental disabilities, ensuring their comfort and understanding throughout treatment. Assist in trauma medicine situations as needed, demonstrating quick decision-making skills under pressure. Participate in occupational health initiatives to promote wellness among staff and patients. Experience Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing. Experience in infusion therapy or related nursing fields such as DME (Durable Medical Equipment), hospital settings, or memory care is preferred. Familiarity with cardiac catheterization procedures and the ability to dialyze patients is a plus. Strong skills in suturing and wound care management are advantageous. Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective patient interaction and collaboration with the healthcare team.
