Tier III Days/Rotate weekends
Position Summary:
Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing processin accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Performs plan of care intervention, including medicationadministration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as wellas other medical care treatment. Documents patient care given. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition asappropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family. Assists patients with performing activities of daily living,including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patientcare, including patient transfer, discharge, referral andspiritual/psychosocial support needs. Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and providespatient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition,and circumstances. Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being ofthe patient.

Qualifications:
Minimum Education Graduate of a Program inProfessional Nursing required. Can practice as a RN Applicant perthe Virginia Department of Health guidelines. Bachelor’s degreepreferred Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisivejudgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must beable to work in a stressful environment and take appropriateaction. Requires flexibility in scheduling and ability to work allshift patterns including week-ends and holidays to insurecontinuity of care and appropriateness of nursing coverage to thepatients of Sovah Health Danville on all units.
Certifications:
