- Professional development and growth opportunities Department/Unit Summary The Vascular Access Nurse at Sovah Health Danville is responsiblefor inserting, troubleshooting, and assessing vascular accessdevices, such as PICC lines, midlines, and ultrasound guidedperipheral IVs.
The Vascular Access nurse is responsible forcoordinating with physicians and nurses to ensure that patientsreceive the appropriate access based on clinical indications andbest practice.
Qualifications:
Qualifications and requirements Applicants should have a current VA (or Multi-state) RN license andpossess an Associate’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursingschool.
Additional requirements include:
- Successful completion of PICC insertion program
- Minimum of 6 months PICC insertion experience
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support
