About This Assignment:

This opportunity places you in a Trauma Surgical Unit that provides expert-level care to patients with acute trauma, surgical needs, orthopedics, and urology . You’ll work with a collaborative, interdisciplinary team that values communication, compassion, and clinical excellence.

Unit Size:

Mid-size Trauma Med-Surg/Tele Patient Ratio:

1:6

Team Style:

Interdisciplinary, with family practice physicians, hospitalists, trauma surgeons, ortho/urology specialists, and YOU!

Patient Types:

Trauma, post-op ortho, urology, and general medical-surgical cases ✅

What You’ll Need:

Education:

Associate Degree in Nursing (or higher)

Certifications:

BLS (AHA or Red Cross accepted)

Licensure:

Active RN license in Alabama or Compact State Verified in NURSYS Temporary licenses are not accepted

Experience:

Minimum 2 years RN experience Will consider 18+ months with 1 year in a med-surg/tele specialty

Your Role:

Deliver patient-centered care in a dynamic trauma-focused setting Monitor post-op patients recovering from surgical interventions Collaborate with a full range of specialists Float to other units or hospitals when needed Maintain top-tier documentation and clinical excellence
