Required Qualifications:

Oneyear’s recent experience as a Neuro RN Valid RN license incompliance with state regulations Current BLS (AHA/ARC)

Certification Preferred Qualifications:

ACLS Certifications(AHA/ARC) CPI Certification Other certifications and licenses maybe required for this position

Summary:

The Registered Nursespecializing in Neurology delivers comprehensive high-quality,patient-centered on Neurology units. This role involves assessingpatient health conditions, monitoring cardiac telemetry data, andcollaborating with multidisciplinary teams to manage diversepatient needs. The position requires strong clinical skills inmed-surg and telemetry nursing, critical thinking abilities,excellent communication, and a commitment to maintaining thehighest standards of patient safety and professional ethics.

Essential Work Functions:

Perform comprehensive mental healthassessments and document findings using evidence-based toolsCollaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians,therapists, social workers, and case managers, to developpatient-centered care plans Provides and coordinates patient carewith other health team members Monitors patients’ responses tointerventions and reports outcomes and adjusting care plans asneeded Administers medications as ordered with appropriatedocumentation educating patients about their use, side effects, andadherence Support patients during medical procedures relevant tomental health care, such as ECT or crisis interventions, andmonitor their responses Performs other duties as assigned withinscope of practice Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infectioncontrol guidelines, and regulatory standards Advocates forpatients’ needs and rights, ensuring culturally sensitive andethical care delivery Participate in quality improvementinitiatives to enhance psychiatric nursing practice Educatepatients and families about mental health conditions, copingstrategies, and available resources Complete accurate, timelydocumentation to support legal, clinical, and operationalrequirements

Required Essential Skills:

Critical thinking, serviceexcellence and good interpersonal communication skills The abilityto read, write, & communicate in the English language is requiredAbility to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbalinstructions, and proficiency in PC skills Physical Abilities

  • Remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment(50-100lbs), pushing, pulling, bending Interpersonal Skills
  • Towork effectively with a variety of personnel (professional andancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalismTechnical/Motor Skills
  • Ability to grasp, fine manipulation,pushing/pulling and able to move about when assisting withprocedures and/or using department equipment. Mental Requirements
  • Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public,customers, and meeting deadlines under pressure.
