8×5 or 4×10 (No 3x12available) Weekly hours: 40
Preferred Experience:
- Previousexperience in dialysis nursing (chronic).
- Acute RNs may work inhospital settings
- Chronic RNs typically work in outpatientclinics on a set schedule.
- May involve standing for long periodsand lifting equipment/patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform andmonitor dialysis treatments in accordance with physician orders andfacility protocols.
- Conduct pre
- intra
- and post-dialysisassessments, including vital signs, access site checks, and patientevaluations.
- Administer prescribed medications and documentinterventions accurately.
- Respond to emergencies and manage acutecomplications during treatment.
- Educate patients and families ondialysis treatment, care plans, and lifestyle adjustments.
- Maintain accurate medical records and comply with all regulatorystandards (CMS, OSHA, HIPAA).
- Collaborate with physicians,dietitians, social workers, and other team members to ensurecomprehensive care.
- Ensure proper maintenance, setup, anddisinfection of dialysis machines and related equipment.
- Supportand mentor dialysis technicians and assist with staff training asneeded.
Qualifications:
- Must have valid RN current SC statelicense or multistate
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience inDialysis
- BLS certification required
- Strong clinical assessmentand critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently in afast-paced environment.
