JobDescription Summary:

Provides general nursing care to patients andfamilies throughout the continuum of care in perioperative andoperating room settings. The RN is accountable for the practice ofnursing as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing. The RN delegatesnursing tasks to licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and unlicensedassistive personnel (UAPs) using the criteria written in the OhioNurse Practice Act. According to department policies and nursingcare standards, provides professional nursing care services topatients. Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, andevaluating nursing care provided to assigned patients.

Responsibilities And Duties:

30% Assessment/Diagnosis Performsinitial, ongoing, and functional health status assessment asapplicable to the population and or individual. 30% OutcomesIdentification/Planning Based on nursing diagnoses andcollaborative problems, documents planned nursing interventions toachieve outcomes appropriate to patient needs. 20%Implementation/Evaluation Evaluates and documents response tonursing interventions and achievement of outcomes at appropriatelydetermined intervals; as part of a multidisciplinary team, revisesplan of care based on evaluative data. 10% Leadership Activelyparticipates in process improvement activities to achieve targetedmeasures of clinical quality, customer satisfaction, and financialperformance. 10% Operations The major duties/ responsibilities andessential functions listed above are not intended to beall-inclusive of the duties, responsibilities and essentialfunctions to be performed by associates in this job. Associate isexpected to all perform other duties as requested by supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree:

NursingBLS

• Basic LifeSupport
• American Heart Association, RN
• Registered Nurse

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• (BSN required at 5 years of employment)
• Current RegisteredNurse license from the State of Ohio
• ACLS certification
