Summary:
A Registered Nurse is responsible for planning, organizing, and administering care within the scope of his/her training and expertise, collaborating with other disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes is met. This is done in conjunction with the objectives and policies of the hospital and the Nurse Practice Act of the state of Arkansas. A Cath Lab and/or IVR Nurse is a Registered Nurse who assists surgeons and other healthcare professionals during Cath lab and/or IVR surgical procedures. They work outside the procedure room’s sterile field by ensuring a clean and sterile environment, administration of medications, implementing and maintaining surgical counts, prepping for operations/procedures, documentation of surgery/procedure, monitoring perioperative staff, instruments, and equipment and the delivery of surgical specimens.
Other information:
Must have the required education needed to be a licensed Registered Nurse by the Arkansas State Board of Nursing with 18 months of Cath Lab and/or IVR experience. Must be current in CPR. This job will be authorized 0.01 hours bi-weekly.
