GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR
– School Nursing Program promotes optimal health of the school population through nursing assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides first aid illness Administer medications and treatments Conducts health screening and referral programs Carry out communicable disease control activities Promote safety Maintain accurate health records Provide health education and health counseling to individuals and or groups Participation on Planning and Placement Team, Student Assistance Team and other Interdisciplinary Teams Home visits Overseeing of School Health Aides, Nursing Students and or volunteers Communicates with community recourses as needed Develop and implement Individual Health Care Plans for students with special needs Other related duties and Public Health programs as assigned Qualifications
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Registered Nurse with BSN OR Associates Degree with at least 15 academic credits in requires areas of study Must have 1 year of Nursing experience within the last 5 years 3 days per week, 21 hours
