RESPONSIBILITIES

:
 Provide routine and emergency school health care, including medication administration, to students PreK•Grade 12  Promote and protect the optimal physical, social and emotional health of school-age children in order to support the education process  Implement all federal, state and local screening mandates and laws
 Observe, identify and address health patterns and atypical findings.
 Maintain, evaluate and interpret cumulative health data to accommodate individual needs of the students.  Provide health education and appropriate referrals to community resources for students and  families.  Serve as a liaison between the student, school and home.

QUALIFICATIONS

:


Education:

Bachelor’s degree required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.  Current Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice nursing in the State of Connecticut.  Current CPR Certification required.  Minimum of one year experience in hospital nursing, school health nursing, community health nursing, or pediatric nursing.  Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.  Solid technology skills and knowledge of Google sheets and docs.
