Nurse Residents will be hired directly to a specialty area wherethey will receive focused clinical education. The positions offeredvary based on the needs of the hospital and may include CriticalCare, Progressive Care Unit, Med Surg, Cardiology / Telemetry,Emergency, Operating Room, Oncology and Orthopedic units. Inaddition to clinical immersion on the unit, Nurse Residents meet ina classroom format to share experiences and receive additionaleducation and training. • Every newly licensed RN (completion of NCLEX with activeCT RN license) with less than one-year experience

QualificationsEducation :

Graduate of a school of nursing. Soon to be graduatesare welcome to apply!

Experience:

New RN Graduate Nurses or newlylicensed RNs.

License and Certification:

• Active State of CT RNlicense. New graduates may start employment under Graduate Nurselicense status (per the State of CT DPH guidelines) with pendinglicense and must successfully complete first NCLEX testing and holdactive license within 90 days from graduation date. Once activestate of CT RN license is obtained, newly-licensed nurse will beplaced into Nurse Resident program cohort sessions.
• Current BasicLife Support (BLS) upon hire.
• Ability to obtain and maintaindepartment specific certifications.

By completing the NurseResidency Program, newly-licensed nurses are able to competentlyand safely manage a full patient assignment with confidence, andwill be well-positioned to become future leaders in the nursingprofession.
