$76,396.32 – $126,730.61 APre-Admission Testing Nurse plays a crucial role in ensuring thesafe and efficient preparation of patients for surgical or invasiveprocedures. They assess patients’ medical histories, performnecessary tests, and collaborate with healthcare teams to ensurethat patients are optimally prepared for their procedures.
Attention to detail, strong communication skills, and clinicalexpertise will contribute to the overall quality of care providedto patients.
Hourly Range:
$36.73 – $60.93 Conduct thoroughassessments of patients scheduled for surgical or invasiveprocedures to evaluate their physical and emotional readiness.
Review patients’ medical histories, including pre-existingconditions, allergies, medications, and previous surgeries, toidentify potential risks or complications. Coordinate diagnostictests such as blood work, ECGs, X-rays, and other assessments asrequired to ensure patients are medically fit for their procedures.
Assess and document patients’ current medications, including dosageand frequency, and make recommendations for any necessaryadjustments or changes in consultation with physicians. Providepatients and their families with detailed information about theupcoming procedure, including what to expect, preoperativeinstructions, and potential risks. Work closely with surgeons,anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to developand implement individualized care plans for each patient. Maintainaccurate and comprehensive patient records, including preoperativeassessments, test results, and communication with the healthcareteam. Adhere to strict infection control protocols and ensure thatpatients are screened for contagious illnesses to minimize the riskof surgical site infections.
