An opportunity to gain and practicecritical care skills in the following areas: Neuro-Surgical TraumaICU, Medical ICU, Coronary Care Unit, Cardiovascular ICU , and ourintermediate care ICU- the MSICU. RNs in the Critical Care Floatpool also have the opportunity to gain additional competencies inEmergency Department care and neuro-progressive care areas. Youwill have the opportunity to work in all the Critical Care areas atthe Region’s only Level I trauma center. Consider joining thisdynamic, highly skilled Nursing team today! The RegisteredProfessional Nurse assesses, coordinates, plans, directs,implements and manages the needs of assigned patients throughoutthe episode of care with a focus on progress toward discharge,including during transitions within the acute care stay. TheRegistered Professional Nurse is responsible for the delivery andcoordination of patient care provided by the caregiving team. S/heassures that competent, compassionate patient care is uniformlyprovided to customers including referring facilities, hospitalstaff and patients in the inpatient, ambulatory, and communitysettings. Registered Professional Nurses that participate in theNursing Professional Advancement Pathway (NPAP) must progress fromnovice to competent within a specialty. Nurses are eligible toapply for advancement to proficient or expert status as outlined inthe NPAP.
