Facilityin Hudson, NY Job Details Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking askilled ER RN for a 13 week travel assignment in Hudson, NY. One year of recent experience as anER RN Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations CurrentBLS certification (AHA/ARC) Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC)Current PALS (AHA / ARC) or

ENPC Certification PreferredQualifications:

TNCC, NIHSS, CPI, NRP and SANE certifications Othercertifications or licenses may be required for this position

Summary:

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) deliversrapid-response, high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergencydepartment setting. This role involves assessing patientconditions, implementing urgent care plans, administeringlife-saving treatments, and collaborating with multidisciplinaryhealthcare teams to ensure high-quality, efficient,patient-centered care in critical situations. The ER RNdemonstrates strong clinical skills, exceptional critical thinkingabilities, excellent communication under pressure, and a commitmentto maintaining the highest standards of patient safety andprofessional ethics.

Essential Work Functions:

Rapidly assess andtriage patients upon arrival prioritizing care based on theseverity of their condition Explain emergency procedures andtreatments to patients and families Administer prescribedmedications and treatments in accordance with approved emergencynursing techniques and protocols Prepare equipment and aidphysicians during emergency treatments and examinations Monitorpatient comfort and safety throughout their time in the emergencydepartment, responding to immediate needs Observe and documentpatient conditions as required within scope of practice Take andmonitor vital signs using clinical judgment to address deviationsand prevent complications Respond to life-saving situations basedupon emergency nursing standards, policies, procedures, andprotocols Document comprehensive nursing assessments interventions,and outcomes in electronic medical records (EMR) Initiate patienteducation plans according to individualized needs, considering theacute nature of emergency care Collaborate effectively withinterdisciplinary teams including physicians, specialists,paramedics, social workers and other support staff to ensurecomprehensive care Perform other duties as assigned within thescope of practice Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infectioncontrol guidelines, and regulatory standards

Required EssentialSkills:

Critical thinking, service excellence and goodinterpersonal communication skills The ability to read, write, &communicate in the English language is required Ability toread/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions,and proficiency in PC skills Physical Abilities

  • Remain in astationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs),pushing, pulling, bending Interpersonal Skills
  • To workeffectively with a variety of personnel (professional andancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalismTechnical/Motor Skills
  • Ability to grasp, fine manipulation,pushing/pulling and able to move about when assisting withprocedures and/or using department equipment. Mental Requirements
  • Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public,customers, and meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able towork under close supervision occasionally as well as workingwithout assistance from other personnel.
