Per Diem Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and experienced RN with a strong background in assisting clients with quadriplegia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality personal care, overnight. This position requires a reliable and proactive individual who can work nights Monday -Thursday 11pm-7am and 11pm-9am Friday – Sundays ensuring the client’s comfort and safety at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
Personal Care Assistance:
Overnight Standby Saftey, Aid with mobility, including transferring the client from bed , toileting as needed. Provide companionship and emotional support to maintain a positive and comfortable environment.
Housekeeping & Light Maintenance:
Ensure that the home is organized and the client’s personal items are in proper order.
Medical Support & Documentation:
Monitor and report any changes in the client’s health or well-being. Assist with medication reminders or administering medications if trained and directed. Maintain records of daily activities, care provided, and any concerns regarding the client’s condition.
Safety & Mobility Assistance:
Ensure the client’s safety in all activities, including proper use of mobility aids.l
Qualifications:
Certification & Experience:
Valid RN certification and current in-state licensure. Prior experience working with quadriplegic clients or individuals with similar mobility challenges. Ability to demonstrate strong understanding of care protocols for clients with severe physical disabilities.
Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of basic medical care procedures, including assisting with daily living tasks, managing medications, and following care plans. Compassionate, patient, and empathetic attitude with a focus on client-centered care. Excellent communication skills to interact with the client, their family, and the healthcare team.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to assist with physical mobility, including transferring and supporting the client. Capable of lifting and moving equipment (e.g., wheelchair) and assisting with daily physical tasks.
