DeliversNursing Care by developing a nursing diagnosis; establishingnursing care objectives; defining nursing interventions; providingphysical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support topatients, families, and friends to understand patient conditions,medications, and self-care skills; re-evaluating careobjectives. Provides patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions;communicating the nursing care plan and all pertinent informationto other members of the health care team; coordinating with otherhealthcare providers; providing physical, emotional, psychological,and spiritual support to patients, families, and friends;conferring with physicians. Develops nursing care plans by obtaining medical histories;documenting patient physical condition, psychological status, andinfluencing social factors; developing a nursing diagnosis;establishing nursing care objectives; defining nursinginterventions, schedules, and timetables. Teaches healthcare requirements by establishing patient care goals;instructing patient, family, and friends to understand condition,medications, and self-care skills; Evaluates patient care byadhering to therapeutic standards; measuring health outcomesagainst patient care standards; re-evaluating care objectives;modifying nursing care plan. Maintains safe, secure, and healthy patient care environment byadhering to infection-control policies and protocols, medicationadministration and storage procedures, and controlled substanceregulations; adhering to organization standards and policies, andto legal regulations; Documents patient care services by chartingin patient and department records. Keeps patient care equipment operating by following operatinginstructions and established procedures; Keeps patient caresupplies ready by checking stock; stocking items. Maintains competence in nursing capabilities outlined byleadership. Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:

• Registered Nurse (RN)
• Board of Nursing An active license in thestate of practice
