Be part of a multidisciplinary team built with compassion and thegoal of Moving Health Forward for you and our patients. DeliversNursing Care by developing a nursing diagnosis; establishingnursing care objectives; defining nursing interventions; providingphysical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support topatients, families, and friends to understand patient conditions,medications, and self-care skills; re-evaluating careobjectives. Provides patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions;communicating the nursing care plan and all pertinent informationto other members of the health care team; coordinating with otherhealthcare providers; providing physical, emotional, psychological,and spiritual support to patients, families, and friends;conferring with physicians. Develops nursing care plans by obtaining medical histories;documenting patient physical condition, psychological status, andinfluencing social factors; developing a nursing diagnosis;establishing nursing care objectives; defining nursinginterventions, schedules, and timetables. Teaches healthcare requirements by establishing patient care goals;instructing patient, family, and friends to understand condition,medications, and self-care skills; Evaluates patient care byadhering to therapeutic standards; measuring health outcomesagainst patient care standards; re-evaluating care objectives;modifying nursing care plan. Maintains safe, secure, and healthy patient care environment byadhering to infection-control policies and protocols, medicationadministration and storage procedures, and controlled substanceregulations; adhering to organization standards and policies, andto legal regulations; Documents patient care services by chartingin patient and department records. Keeps patient care equipment operating by following operatinginstructions and established procedures; Keeps patient caresupplies ready by checking stock; stocking items. Maintains competence in nursing capabilities outlined byleadership. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able toperform each essential job function satisfactorily including havingvisual acuity adequate to perform position duties and the abilityto communicate effectively with others, hear, understand anddistinguish speech and other sounds.
