PCU 2N CCH

department. As a Per Diem RN, you will have the opportunity to work on an as-needed basis, providing quality patient care and support to our patients in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU).

Responsibilities:

Provide direct patient care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols Monitor and assess patient’s condition and report any changes to the appropriate healthcare team members Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician Collaborate with other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients Educate patients and their families on disease processes, treatments, and self-care techniques Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation Adhere to infection control and safety protocols Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain professional development

Requirements:

Valid RN license in the state of Florida Minimum of 1 year of experience in a PCU or similar setting BLS and ACLS certifications Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities Flexibility to work various shifts and weekends as needed We offer competitive pay and a supportive work environment with opportunities for growth and advancement. Additional Parameters:

Previous experience in a Per Diem role is preferred Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) is a plus Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus Work Experience

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Education:

Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing. Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required. BSN highly preferred.

Licensure:

Current Florida RN licensure or endorsement.

Certification:

Must hold current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider Completion Card prior to start date and maintain certification(s) as required by specific unit.

Experience:

Must meet unit specific care requirements.

Language:

Must be able to speak / understand written and verbal instructions in the English language.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must have visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform clinical tasks. Must have corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Must be able to lift, turn, pull, push or ambulate patients/equipment up to 90% of the assigned shift. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted up to 33% of the assigned shift. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop up to 90% of assigned shift. Potential for exposure to bio-hazardous waste, and known or unknown diseases.

MENTAL DEMANDS

Must have ability to work in often stressful environment with patients/families at various ages and levels of understanding. Must have ability to concentrate on multiple priority activities.
