Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate RN to join our team in the Surgical Trauma PCU at Health First Careers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in critical care nursing and a passion for providing exceptional patient care. As an RN in our Surgical Trauma PCU, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. This is a full-time position with a rotating schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct patient care in the Surgical Trauma PCU, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and performing treatments as ordered by the physician Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients Monitor and document patient progress, and communicate any changes or concerns to the physician Educate patients and their families on their condition, treatment plan, and self-care techniques Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain and improve nursing skills and knowledge

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Education:

Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing. Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required. BSN highly preferred.

Licensure:

Current Florida RN licensure or endorsement.

Certification:

Must hold current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider Completion Card prior to start date and maintain. Certification(s) as required by specific unit.

Experience:

Current PACU and/or critical care experience preferred. Must meet unit specific care requirements.

Language:

Must be able to speak / understand written and verbal instructions in the English language.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must have visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform clinical tasks. Must have corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Must be able to lift, turn, pull, push or ambulate patients / equipment up to 90% of the assigned shift. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted up to 33% of the assigned shift. Must be able to stand, walk, bend and stoop up to 90% of assigned shift. Potential for exposure to bio-hazardous waste and known or unknown diseases. Benefits
