Key Responsibilities:

Provide nursing care and support to residents, ensuring their health and well-being. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Conduct health assessments and monitor vital signs. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create individualized care plans. Educate staff and families on health management and wellness strategies. Ensure high quality clinical care for clients by reviewing and researching concerns or complaints and recommending corrective action as appropriate. Maintain adequate clinical supplies. Ensure supply purchases are cost efficient and within the budget. Review and approve supply receipts in conjunction with finance team members. Ensure clinical equipment remains in operating condition. Ensure clinical policies and procedures comply with current state and federal regulations and OSHA regulations. Identify and recommend policies and procedures as needed to ensure quality, compliance, accuracy and cost efficiency. Attend periodic training sessions and meetings pertinent to position. Maintain certification or licensure. Maintain CPR certification. Maintain excellent communication and effective working relationships with clients, providers, clinical and residential team members, the public and the medical community for continuity of high-quality patient care. Maintain effective working relationships with all Bridges departments including, but not limited to Operations and Human Resources, etc. Work at different Arc of Space Coast locations as needed. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Current nursing license in the state of Florida. Experience in a clinical setting, preferably with adults with disabilities. Strong communication skills and a passion for quality care. Ability to work in a team-oriented environment dedicated to enhancing the lives of our clients.

Able to work with developmentally disabled adults and individuals with dual diagnoses. Able to work independently and make sound clinical decisions. Has the desire to support others and the ability to adjust style to the needs of new and current team members to facilitate successful mentoring. Knowledge of medical terminology. Knowledge of medical office principles, standards, applications and tests. Knowledge of medical office safety, cleanliness and infection control policies and regulations. Knowledge of medical office equipment uses and maintenance Able to do basic nursing procedures-Vital Signs, injections, tube feedings, dressings and other procedures, as needed. Accuracy
