Typical Hiring ProfileMust have:

ACLS, BLS, 2
years current experience in acute OR setting, must be able to Scrub assist in Open Heart casesList Typical Procedures Performed on Unit(s): CABG, MVR, AVR, Pacemaker, laser lead extractions, some Thoracic procedures, some endovascular procedures and standby for TVAR and mitral clipsPrefer experience in minimally invasive cardiac proceduresMay need to provide lunch relief in the following service lines:
Vascular, General, Ortho, Neuro/Spine, Urology, Podiatry, Thoracic Surgery and Plastic SurgeryAdditional Preferences:
(ex: previous travel experience preferred, easily adaptable to fast paced unit, can function well independently)Cardiovascular RNs assess, plan, implement and evaluate health care services for patients before, during and after surgical proceduresEnsure that sterile procedures are followed throughout the course of surgery, necessary equipment and medications are available for the operating room team, record progress and outcomes of surgical procedures and ensure proper handling of specimensProvide quality control and ensure patient safety at all times
